Rhys James arrived on Saturday, July 26th at 1:52pm. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and measured 20 1/2 inches long.

We are home and healthy, but exhausted, so this is a quickie post with a photo of Eleni meeting her little brother.

Looking forward to introducing Rhys to family and friends.

Finally (apparently) life like the Jetsons is here. Mum & Dad are the proud owners of a vacuuming robot. Mummy has taken to calling her Rosie, like the Jetsons' trusty robot housekeeper.

She comes out, she cleans all of my crumbs and Cheerios :), then she goes home.
She also leaves those lovely 'just been vacuumed' lines in the carpet - fantastic. Although Minty isn’t overly enamored with her.

If you were smart you would get one too.

House update

There has been much progress on my new house over the past few weeks.

Here are the highlights:

First the foundation was poured, and the basement walls were put in

Two weeks later and a lot of rain, and the bottom floor is in

Mum and Dad took me past today, the top floor and roof supports are on. Again the rain slows down the build. Daddy will post a more recent photo soon.

NOTE: we are not moving to a gigantic home - ours is the middle unit of three townhouses.

It is with great sadness that my Great Uncle George passed away on Sunday. He was a wonderful man, who loved us little ones very much, and always had time to read us a story. He lit up the room, with his laughter, funny stories, and made everyone he met feel very special. We all feel extremely lucky to have known him.

While we were in Arizona at G-Nana’s house, he read me the amazing story of Skippy John Jones (voices included).

As you all know I am one year old now, and I feel like I have a new lease on life. My life has been tough so far. There was all that squeezing and crying at first, but I get my own back every night around 11pm and 3pm.

I had the greatest party ever at home, and all of my friends came. I got lots of brilliant presents, and have really enjoyed playing with all of them.
